1927 Riley 11.9hp Open Tourer

Riley 1927 11.9 H.P side valve tourer in racing green, reg YF 1839. 4 speed gearbox, First registered in February 1927 in Essex. It was purchased by IND COOPE BREWERY as a box saloon and then was stored in a shed in 1945 when the dynamo failed. It stood there for 42 years until it was discovered in 1987 by a Riley owners club member being rebuilt as a Tourer using many original parts. The car is in sound condition and runs well. It has just been fitted with 4 new Firestone tyres and all the coolant and oils have been replaced. The brake linings are fine, not worn and its MOT runs out at the end of September 2012. The only attention needed is the driver’s door which needs minor cosmetic attention.
The Car comes with the original owner’s handbook and
many useful diagrams and documents.
